Existence of various projects in Khzestan , extent of water sector activities and its variety , specially in solving the problems as well as the necessity of searching for proper ways to supply the technical needs of various water projects , have all led to the establishment of an office under the title of "The Office of Research and Water Engineering Standards" and in relation to , "The Central Committee Water Study" , 1374( 1995 ) . For the determine of research needs and utilization of modern technology to resolve the technical problems and various , projects by scientific capabilities of researchers and to direct researchers , specially uni. students in the line of KWPA's research needs in the direction of collecting data and engineering services .

This trend was boosted in late 1377( 1998 ) , so that various projects were received and the required research fields by KWPA were introduced .
