Province Water Affairs management is a part of
assistance of Khuzestan Water & Power Authority with importance
activities as following :
A ) Basic water resources studies
The water of province at 159000- as much as 32.3 billion cubic
meters of water flow by the Karoon , Dez , Karkheh , Jarahi and
Zohreh rivers are the basic reason for water resources studies .
The oldest hydrometry station with as long as one-century record is
set up on the Karoon River .
Basic water resources studies consist of four main parts :
1) Surface water unit
2) Subsurface water unit
3) Water resource balance part
4) Qualitative investigation of water resource
Importance activities are as follows : |

subsurface water resources
4 ) Control of water resource quality

B ) Conservation and operation of water resources
Important duties of this part are :
Conservation of water resources , rivers and river-bed bounds
preservation against irregular and unauthorized supervision priority
determination on the basis of providing reasonable water
requirements and conservation quality of this resources and also
supervision on the operation of water by new irrigation system ,
tradition canals and installation pump machinery , and also
groundwater removement .
Conservation and operation of water resources consist of below units

Province Water Affairs Management has eight subarea in the province

1) Water supplying and pressured irrigation and drainage network in
east of GorGor River .
2) Water supplying in borderlands of Miangaran Lake in Izeh City .
3) Pumping station and diversion weir of Loor of Andimeshk City .
4) Increase of discharge of Karkheh river by Neysan river .
5) Pumping station and irrigation and drainage network of Boneh-Basht .
6) Karkheh-Lali water supply project . |
